전시명 ‘새끼-치기’(Saekki-Chigi)는 같은 유전형질을 지닌 것들이 불어나듯 분얼성 식물에서 새로운 줄기가 형성되는 현상을 뜻하는 농업 용어에서 착안하였다.
전시는 기존에 유통이 어려웠던 개념적이거나, 가변적이거나, 이동이 어려운 스케일의 조각/설치 작품, 그리고 디지털 디바이스에 담겨야 하는 영상/사운드 등의 미디어 작품을 소장 가능한 물성으로 파생한 ‘파생 작품’을 유통하며 순환하는 생태계를 그린다.
The exhibition title Saekki-Chigi is inspired by an agricultural term that describes the phenomenon in tillering plants, where new stems form, proliferating entities that share identical genetic traits.
The exhibition envisions a circulating ecosystem by distributing "derivative works" — newly materialized offshoots of original pieces — derived from conceptual, variable, or large-scale sculptures and installations that were previously difficult to distribute, as well as media works such as videos and sound pieces that must be contained within digital devices.

두 명의 시각작가가 만든 가상의 에이전시입니다.
이들은 작가의 정체성에서 한걸음 떨어져나와 작가와 소비자를 연결하는 매니저 역할을 수행하는 또 다른 정체성, ‘카이먼과 로’로 활동합니다.
